All too soon, reality will intrude. The sun will rise; they'll be back on the road, with Goddess-knows how many days and battles between them and the next inn.

Angelo sighs and runs his fingers gently along the curve of Jessica's shoulder. She stirs, shifting toward the touch but not quite waking; he leans over to press a kiss against the soft skin of her jaw, and wraps his arm around her, settling in for another hour or two of sleep.

Soon, they'll be back on the road. But for now, she's in his arms, and his world is perfect.
